Welcome to the Natural Skin & Psoriasis Clinic where your chronic skin and joint conditions are treated holistically and through a combination of modalities that includes nutritional modification, natural medicines and topical preparations, musculoskeletal care, exercise and lifestyle change.
The clinic has operated since 2004 and is incorporated within Bayside Health Professionals, a multi-disciplinary chiropractic clinic, located at The Hub, Capalaba, QLD. In-person and telehealth (phone) consultations are available.
Our treatment protocol is influenced by the 4 step plan developed over the past 30 years by Dr Michael Tirant, Ph.D.(clinical research scientist) and director of the Melbourne based Psoriasis Eczema Clinic. Please visit www.psoriasis.com.au for in-depth information about the history of the clinic treatment protocols including results from clinical trials.
We seek to identify the trigger(s) that initiated your condition.
We identify the secondary triggers present in your environment, lifestyle and/or diet that continue to exacerbate your condition.
We develop a customized treatment plan to specifically target your individual triggers and support your treatment progression.
We treat your symptoms and address your triggers to help you work towards long term control of your chronic condition.
At your first visit
We conduct a detailed history and examination and then clearly explain the treatment protocol and any individually prescribed topical and nutritional medications that are recommended for you. Dietary, musculoskeletal, physical activity and lifestyle factors are discussed. We assess every person on an individual basis to develop a customised programme rather than take a one-size-fits-all approach.
You will generally be reviewed after two weeks to assess that you are responding to the treatment recommendations. In the majority of cases, you will be reviewed on a monthly basis for approximately three months.
