Our patients often experience significant improvement in their skin condition through our customised, effective, natural and non-drug based approach.
Our service is based on a 4 step plan
- We identify the trigger that initiated your condition.
- We identify the secondary triggers present in your environment, lifestyle and/or diet that continue to exacerbate your condition.
- We develop a customized treatment plan to get your skin condition under control now and acknowledge that there are often individual requirements and differences across people suffering with the same skin condition.
- We treat your symptoms and address your triggers to help you work towards long term remission of your skin complaint.
At your first visit - what to expect
We will take a detailed history, examine your skin and then clearly explain the treatment protocol and any individually prescribed topical and nutritional medications that are recommended for you. We assess every patient's skin needs on an individual basis to develop a customised programme rather than take a one-size-fits-all approach.
With respect to eczema, dermatitis and rosacea, there can be a wide range of variation between the topical and nutritional preparations prescribed from one individual to the next. In comparison, whilst psoriasis and acne represent two very different skin conditions, in both cases, there is more uniformity across individual sufferers with regard to response to topical preparations and internal supplementation requirements. You will generally be reviewed after two weeks and in most cases we would expect a clear reduction in signs and symptoms of your skin condition. In the majority of cases, you will be reviewed on a monthly basis for approximately three months until your skin condition is resolved or significantly reduced. Throughout the period of treatment, we make individual adjustments in your prescription medicines, to achieve the best result for you.
The Natural Skin & Psoriasis Clinic prescribes nutritional and botanical medicine to treat and resolve skin conditions such as Psoriasis, Eczema, Dermatitis, Acne and Rosacea. This clinic treats everyone individually as what may work for one person may not be appropriate for your condition. It is this appreciation of individual differences that ensures you get high quality attention and care. Our protocols focus on treating the underlying causes that continue to drive your skin symptoms. We use customised, effective topical ointments and creams and the prescription of targeted nutritional and botanical medicines to restore your skin's health.
Importantly, we do not diagnose skin conditions at this clinic. You should visit your GP or seek out the services of a dermatologist prior to attending our clinic if you have an undiagnosed skin condition and are seeking a diagnosis.
Is there a Psoriasis cure ?
No, there is no Psoriasis cure as such but we aim to put patients into long-term remission from their Psoriasis so they normally just don't get symptoms anymore. We normally achieve up to 90% success in attaining this result.
Is there an eczema cure?
In most cases, we can assist patients to resolve their Eczema or Dermatitis symptoms but some types of Eczema are genetically-based and for those there is unlikely to be an Eczema cure, however patients normally experience high success levels on our protocols to clear up Eczema.
Is there a Rosacea cure ?
Once again, Rosacea can have genetic influences and so although we can clear up Rosacea completely in many people, others may only achieve long-term remission of their Rosacea - meaning that the symptoms totally clear up for an indefinite period.
